”Our Old Familiar Globe Is Gone”
Climate change has been covered extensively and creatively, but awareness doesn’t reverse the devastating effects we’re having on our world. Photographer John Francis Peters captured an other-worldly and nearly apocalyptic atmosphere from his months of traveling in California during the state’s drought.
Playing off of a structure around four natural elements—earth, wind, fire, and water—we designed an immersive presentation that took a broader perspective on climate change during the UN Framework Convention on Climate in 2016.
We worked in a digital format, but referenced the same analog page turning of a magazine as the story unfolded screen-by-screen while scrolling.
